Experiencing Diane Servant’s Signature Facial in Paris

*DIANE SERVANT

I had the chance to finally meet Diane Servant in her beautiful, intimate studio latly. I had heard about Diane for years — from friends, from people I trust, all telling me I should meet her. And as it often happens, it took time. Life gets in the way. But somehow, we found the perfect moment last week. Sometimes, things align without you having to force them. But what I didn’t expect was how much it would recalibrate not just my skin, but the way I was feeling altogether.

What I’ve always appreciated — maybe even craved — is a facialist who doesn’t just follow the trend cycle blindly. Yes, I love to stay curious about the latest techniques, I even make a point of it. But I also believe that skincare, like most things worth doing, can’t be templated. We all share the fact of having a face, but the way we carry it — the muscles, the asymmetries, the tensions — is wildly personal.

This is exactly where Diane Servant stood out to me. From the first few moments, she was present, engaged, and genuinely curious. She took the time to ask questions, to listen, and to feel. That day, I had nothing very precise to ask for — just the honest reality of a long, draining week, and a face that was carrying it. I told her I felt heavy, a bit deflated, and hoped for a little lift, nothing more. Without hesitation, she knew what to offer — a deep lymphatic drainage and, an intra-buccal massage.

Truthfully, I had seen enough buzzy content on Instagram about buccal massage to have mixed feelings. Sometimes these techniques are thrown around without context, without care, just for the sake of going viral. I’m always cautious about trends for trend’s sake. But with Diane, I knew immediately I was in expert hands. She explained every step and reassured me that at any moment, if I felt discomfort, we would adapt.

The touch itself was something I had never felt before. There was nothing performative or aggressive about it. It was precise, subtle, and somehow deeply intuitive — as if she was unlocking parts of my face I hadn’t even realized were tense. Every gesture felt studied but never mechanical. I could feel the release happen in real-time.

I also loved that she doesn’t subscribe to the typical spa atmosphere. Instead of the usual ambient music, she plays what she actually loves — a mix of soul, neo-soul, and unexpected tracks that carry just the right kind of energy. I still almost fell asleep (multiple times), but I stayed grounded. The music gave it this quiet vibrancy, which, somehow, made the experience even more restorative.

I left feeling like I had done a full cardio session, except it was my face that had worked. My skin felt lifted, refreshed, and re-energized — but more than that, it kept working. In the days after, I could still sense the effects. My face felt lighter, more toned, as if Diane had reactivated something that had been sitting dormant. Even now, as I write this, I still feel it.

What I appreciated the most? The fact that it wasn’t just about looking fresher. It was about reconnecting with my face, not as something to “fix” but as something to understand and care for. Diane Servant doesn’t just sculpt faces; she listens to them. And honestly, so should we.

Obviously, this won’t be my last appointment.
